HGTVPro.com Debuts Spanish Language Video Library
Online network for homebuilders breaks new ground with collection of Best Practices vignettes for Spanish-speaking professionals

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) April 17, 2006 – HGTVPro.com (www.HGTVPro.com), which built a solid foundation in the residential construction industry a year ago as the first video-rich online network for homebuilders, is again breaking ground with a new collection of broadband video content tailored to the Spanish-speaking professional.

Beginning May 5, nearly half of the Best Practices library of videos and articles currently available on HGTVPro.com will be accessible to Spanish-speaking homebuilders. The 50 new Spanish-language video versions will be incorporated into the online network's existing Best Practices section, which houses more than 100 vignettes and articles on industry-vetted standards.

According to Jim Sexton, senior vice president of Scripps Networks Interactive, the driving force behind the new HGTVPro.com video material is industry foresight. A recent study by the Pew Hispanic Center indicated that 40 percent of the 571,000 construction jobs created in the U.S. for 2004 were filled by foreign-born Hispanics. The same study indicated that the upsurge will likely continue.

"The launch of a Spanish-language video library furthers the goal of HGTVPro.com to deliver professional-grade information to the homebuilding industry in the manner it can use it best," said Sexton. "As we anticipate the needs of Latino business owners and construction professionals, HGTVPro.com hopes to set the bar high for quality in Spanish-language content, and become a trusted online destination among the Hispanic building community."

Homebuilders can find the new HGTVPro.com Spanish-language video library beginning May 5 by logging on to HGTVPro.com and navigating to the Best Practices section of the site.
