Eric's background in building science includes experimental work at a national laboratory and three universities, as well as hands-on installation and maintenance work on solar water heating systems in industrial and residential applications.
An engineer with IBACOS and the Best Practices Research Alliance, Eric has authored various conference papers and contributed to reports for the Department of Energy's Building America Program. He holds two bachelor's degrees, one in mechanical engineering and another in German, from Purdue University, and is nearing completion of his master's degree in mechanical engineering from Portland State University in Oregon.
