House planner Jack Thomasson explains how the idea was developed for the design of this year's HGTV Dream Home: "The houses (are) inspired by the Sonoma farmhouse look, so we wanted to produce a house that looks like it fits into the wine country but also fits into a planned community, and this house accomplishes both of those things," he says.
