Leon Camarda, builder of the 2009 HGTV Green Home

Leon R. Camarda, LEED AP, is a builder/ project manager for Core Communities, LLC. He is responsible for managing residential and commercial real estate development and construction in Tradition, a master planned community located in Port St. Lucie, Fla. He is also responsible for development of Core Communities' sustainability initiatives and implementation of green building practices.

During his tenure with Core Communities, he has been involved with design and construction of approximately 700,000 square feet of mixed-use buildings, including the 2008 HGTV Green Home, Tradition Village Center and The Landing at Tradition. Camarda is a state certified general contractor, holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Florida Rinker School of Building Construction and is currently completing his MBA with a real estate focus from Florida Atlantic University.
