Twisting wire, screwing on wire nuts and neatly folding wire into a junction box not only takes time, it gets old after a while. So does holding up a ceiling fan or garage spotlight, finding the wire nuts with your other hand and screwing them on with your third. You can do it, but it takes time.

If you use the new Safety Quick Light, however, it takes less time—a lot less. Safety Quick Light is a two-piece system. Piece 1 wires into the house service then mounts with screws to ceiling or wall-mounted junction boxes. Piece 2 wires and mounts into the light fixture itself.

What's cool is that after mounting, the juggling show is over, because the pieces literally click together. Tab A meets Slot B, no fuss, no muss. The device is rated for both interior and exterior applications.

While you or your electrician can retro-fit existing fixtures with the Safety Quick Light system, you can also purchase new fixtures with Piece 2 of the fixture already installed, which (assuming your customer likes the choices) promises to save huge amounts of time during the fixture-installation phase of your projects.

And, you can use it as a sales tool. While some people may swap out lights on the interior of their homes, it's probably a stretch to say most people will do that. However, lots of people load up the outside of the house during the holiday season. So instead of running extension cords all over the place (not the best when it rains/snows), they can safely hardwire right to a junction box.

However, you use it—sales tool, efficiency tool or a little of both—Safety Quick Light is worth a second look.
