The Ghost whole-house fan from Tamarack is designed to sit on top of the attic rafters with only a small lower housing that fits between them. Operated by radio-frequency remote control, the two-speed motor is exceptionally quiet, drawing 2,800 cubic feet of air through the house to provide effective cooling at less expense and for less energy than air conditioning.
Internal motorized and insulated doors open into the fan chamber when the unit is turned on, just before the 20-inch blade begins drawing air through the house. The fan provides a positive, well-insulated, automatic seal when not in use; its appearance from below is of a white return-air grille.
