While Rinnai has been known for its tankless water heaters, it now offers a unit with a digital control pad that lets users control much more than water temperature. The waterproof, stainless-steel controllers have 7-in. wide screens that can be mounted on a wall, under a kitchen cabinet or even in the shower, providing access to news, weather and music.
The units also allow a user to set the time when he or she wants to take a bath, the volume of water desired in the tub and the exact temperature of the water. At the appropriate time, the controller signals the tankless water heater to fill the tub at those settings. Similarly, the auto pre-set shower provides water at the exact time and temperature selected by the user.
