At approximately 2 ½’ tall with excellent occupied-space-to-water-softening-capacity ratio, GE's compact, square shaped SmartWater softening system is the ideal solution for tight spaces. A low-profile design makes refilling the softening salt compartment much easier.
The softening system learns the household's water usage patterns and system automatically regenerates — using pellet- or nugget-style salt to cleanse itself of hard water minerals. The regeneration cycle can be programmed by the user to occur any time during the day or night.
The softening system reduces the need for frequent salt replacement. The days-to-empty feature flashes when it's time to refill the salt compartment. Dual sliding horizontal lids provide easy access to the salt compartment opening and to easy to set electronic controls.
