HouseRaising Teams with Veteran New Orleans Builders to Construct and Renovate Homes

NEW ORLEANS -- HouseRaising, Inc., a managed service provider to the custom homebuilding industry, today announced the formation of a partnership, through a combination of operations, with veteran developer/homebuilders John and Ellie Schroder, Covington, LA, to build and renovate custom homes in the New Orleans area.

The new entity will operate as Trojan Custom Homes, LLC, a HouseRaising Builder. The partnership, structured as a 50-50 limited liability company between HouseRaising of Louisiana, LLC, and Geaux Homes, LLC, is expected to design, sell and build up to twenty custom homes annually.

Between them, John and Ellie Schroder have more than 46 years of experience in the local building business. In addition, John Schroder has been a developer for more than ten years. He has created and managed communities in the area with as many as 400 quality homes.

The new venture has designed a series of quality custom homes with fixed prices starting from $119,900 to $500,000.

"Combining our support organization with the Schroder's experience and knowledge of the needs specific to the victims of Hurricane Katrina enables the new partnership to offer affected homeowners quality homes at fair prices," he added.

Under the terms of the agreement, Schroder will recruit local builders to work for this entity with HouseRaising's system and support network managing each project. The partnership will be headquartered in HouseRaising's new design center and showroom in New Orleans.

The Schroders said, "We're from New Orleans and are eager to engage in its rebuilding. Right now, very few builders are addressing the specific needs of custom homeowners in this area. Partnering with an established name like HouseRaising gives us a tremendous business opportunity.

"New Orleans builders tend to shy away from custom home building projects," they added, "because of the administrative stress and large amount of client interaction required. Local builders do not have the time for this handholding. As a result, many homeowners who own their lots and want to rebuild, do not have anyone to help them. Moreover, there is more to building a house than just the construction and HouseRaising's unique system and support network helps by handling the back office operations efficiently."

HouseRaising offers four types of business opportunities to custom homebuilders who wish to partner and take advantage of its unique custom homebuilding management process. For more information go to www.houseraising.com
