ST. LOUIS, MO -- Huttig Building Products, Inc., a distributor of millwork, building materials and wood products, reported a net loss of $2.5 million during its second quarter. Net sales declined 18% to $195.4 million, compared to $239.5 million in the prior year quarter.
"In this challenging environment, we continue to focus on controlling expenses, improving operating efficiencies, reducing inventories, generating cash, and gaining market share," said Jon Vrabely, President and CEO. "Overall, we are pleased with our progress, but recognize there is more to be done."
