Typar Introduces New and Enhanced Peel & Stick Flashing
Source: BuildingOnline's eUpdate

OLD HICKORY, TN -- Typar recently announced the addition of its newly enhanced self-adhering peel-and-stick flashing to its line of weather protection products. Typar Peel & Stick Flashing is a sturdy, yet flexible, flashing that couples a high performing pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) with a proprietary block co-polymer formula for stronger adhesion and maximum performance in virtually any environment, especially in cooler temperatures.

Designed for use on straight jambs and heads of windows and doors, Typar Peel & Stick Flashing offers unsurpassed adhesion to ensure vulnerable seams and edges of the building envelope are sealed for seamless protection against moisture and air infiltration. The newly incorporated Quik-Peel™ technology allow users to peel half the width of the release paper while leaving the other half in place for easy installation of a weather resistant barrier when needed.

"We have integrated several user-friendly features that make installation of our new peel-and-stick flashing simple and painless," said Bob Dahl, Business Director of Typar Construction Products. "The newly designed release paper makes for easier application for code inspections and our enhanced adhesion formula makes installation of housewrap around windows and doors fast and easy, which means increased money and labor savings for builders and lower heating and cooling costs for the homeowner."

Available in four different sizes and compatible with all Typar weather protection products, Typar Peel & Stick Flashing will not contribute to the growth of mold or degradation of indoor air quality. As a component of the Typar Weather Protection System it is backed by a 10-year limited warranty.
