Financier and alternative energy advocate T. Boone Pickens will speak at the NAHB National Green Building Conference during the show's awards dinner on May 8.
Pickens, who made most of his fortune is oil, has been making the news lately for his numerous television commercials and efforts to build a legitimate wind power program in the U.S. He is expected to speak about environmental initiatives and the important role that the home building industry plays in mainstreaming new technologies.
