For one isolated village in Kenya, a seasonally flooding river means no access to vital medical care on the other side--truly a life and death situation.

Enter Engineers Without Borders. The nonprofit organization, modeled after the respected "Doctors without Borders" movement, are planning to build a footbridge that will provide reliable access to the medical clinic on the other side of the river for those villagers.

The organization has also helped bring potable water and living structures to other needy communities around the world. These are just a few examples of the many projects the organization undertakes to help improve the lives of countless individuals.

Learn more about their activities at www.ewb-usa.org/mission.php The group has several local chapters, including the Orange County chapter, that is partnering with business professionals and rotary groups to make projects happen.
