2007 Official Rules
THIS GAME IS INTENDED ONLY FOR RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AT THE TIME OF ENTRY.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID IN PUERTO RICO, THE US VIRGIN ISLANDS, GUAM, AND OTHER US TERRITORIES AND COMMONWEALTHS AND WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. ELIGIBILITY: This game (the "Game") is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older on date of entry who have online access on or before August 21, 2007. Athlon Sports Communications, ("Sponsor"), HGTVPro (Company) each of their affiliates, subsidiaries, franchisees, dealers, advertising and promotional agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the "Game Entities") and members of the immediate family and persons living in the same household of each are ineligible.
2. HOW TO ENTER: Beginning August 21, 2007 through December 30, 2007 (the "Game Period"), log on to www.HGTVPro.com (the "Site") and follow the instructions to complete an official entry form and select the weekly winning Pro football teams (an "entry" or "entries"). When you enter at the Site, you may be asked to consent to receive promotional e-mails and reminders for upcoming HGTVPro promotions and information about HGTV. Consenting to receive such e-mails is optional and does not have to be agreed to in order to be eligible to enter the Game, and does not improve your chances of winning. Each week, a list of all pro football games to be played that week will be presented. Each entrant or player ("Player" or "Players") must make a prediction of the winner for each Game by selecting the team the Players think will win. Only one winner per event may be selected (the "Weekly Winner"). Players may change their predictions for any Game up until the picking deadline each week - which is 12:30 p.m. EST each Sunday (the "Weekly Deadline").
In order for any entry to be valid, Players must click on the "SAVE PICKS" button on the Site. Lost, late, illegible, incomplete or misdirected entries are not eligible. The Game Entities are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, or software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received for any reason, traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any other technical problems related to website entries or any combination of the foregoing, including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Game is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such attempt be made, Sponsor and HGTVPro reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Sponsor and HGTVPro also reserve the right to modify, suspend or terminate the promotion in the event that it is not capable of running as planned as a result of a computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or any other technical failures and to disqualify anyone who tampers with the entry process. Entries become the property of Sponsor and HGTVPro and will not be returned. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an online entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the email account is registered.
3. EARNING POINTS: Players will receive one hundred (100) points for each correct winning team prediction. To receive additional points ("Bonus Points"), each Player must predict the actual score for the game indicated as the "Bonus Game" (the "Bonus Game"). If a Player predicts the correct winning team from the Bonus Game, the differences from the actual score are added together and subtracted from 100. If a Player predicts the incorrect winning team from the Bonus Game, the differences from the actual score are added together and subtracted from 50. Example:
Player A predicts: Minnesota 27, Tampa Bay 20
Actual score: Minnesota 17, Tampa Bay 3
Tiebreaker score: 100 - (10+17) = 73
Player B predicts: Tampa Bay 14, Minnesota 13
Actual score: Minnesota 17, Tampa Bay 3
Tiebreaker score: 50 - (3+10) = 37
If a Player who participated the prior week fails to select winning teams by the Weekly Deadline, the Player's selections that week will automatically become the visiting team for each of the scheduled games ("Automatic Picks"). The Player receives no (0) points in the Bonus Game. To cancel Player participation in the Game, the Player is required to send an email to Athlon Sports Pro Football Experts Club at expertsclub@athlonsports.com requesting that they be removed from the Game. All points earned by Player will be forfeited.
A Player will only be granted Automatic Picks three (3) times throughout the season. After the third time, an entrant will not receive any selections for any week in which they fail to make their own picks.
4. WINNER SELECTION: The Player with the most cumulative points at the end of the 17-week season will be the Grand Prize Winner. The Player with the most points each week will be the Weekly Winner. In the case of a tie in the Weekly Game or for the Grand Prize, the following tie-breaker process will be utilized to determine the winner.

If there is a tie for the Grand Prize, the tie will be broken by using the following steps. The process will be to use the first step to compare all tied Players’ scores. If the Players remain tied, the Players who are tied after the current step in the process has been applied, those tied players only will move to the next step in the process. This will continue until a winner has been determined:
In the event that two (2) or more Players remain tied after applying the tiebreaker procedure to their picks (either for a single weekly round or the cumulative grand prize) as would be the case with identical entries, Athlon Sports and Sponsor reserve the right to award equal prizes to all tied participants where the sum total of all prizes awarded is equal to the approximate retail value ("ARV") of the prize designated for that round or for the Grand Prize.
In all cases, an entry that does not win a tiebreaker is eliminated from consideration.
Winners will be determined on or about seven (7) days following each week’s Game(s), by Sponsor or its agent, as the judge of the Game whose decisions shall be final and binding. Winners will be notified by mail and/or email on or about fourteen (14) days following each week’s games. Winners must provide positive identification as specified by Athlon Sports to claim a prize. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate prize winner. Winners must provide positive identification as specified by Athlon Sports Communications, and HGTVPro to claim a prize. Winners may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release which must be received by Sponsor within fourteen (14) days of the date of notification, unless otherwise noted or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. This Game is only open to persons 18 and older. If any winner is considered a minor in his or her state of residence, the winner’s parent or legal guardian must sign all required releases. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

6. GENERAL: By entering, entrants agree: (1) to release Game Entities from all liability, loss or damage, including but not limited to personal injury or death, arising out of their participation in the Game, including Sponsor and its agents reliance upon their compliance with these rules, and with respect to the awarding, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of any prize; (2) to be bound by the Official Rules and Sponsor’s privacy policy and terms and conditions; (3) that the decisions of the Game Entities are final and binding on all matters relating to the Game; (4) to be contacted by Sponsor by mail, telephone and/or email; and (5) by accepting a prize, agree to the use of their names, voice, likenesses and/or biographical data for advertising, trade and promotional purposes in any and all media worldwide (including online) without additional compensation, except if winner is a resident of TN and otherwise where prohibited by law. Entrants waive all rights and remedies at law or in equity for any claim they may have relating to this Game. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. The Game is governed by the laws of the United States, with venue in Davidson County, Tennessee and all claims must be resolved in the state and/or federal courts of Davidson County, Tennessee, and submission of an entry constitutes acceptance of the laws of the United States. All prizes will be awarded.
7. WINNERS' LIST: Beginning on or about January 2, 2008 you may obtain the name of the winners, either by going to the Site, or by mailing a self-addressed stamped envelope to: "HGTVPro Builders Football League" Game, Athlon Sports Communications 220 25th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37203. Requests received after February 7, 2008 will not be honored.

(c) Number of "visiting team" game winners predicted correctly during the entire year.
(d) Closest to predicting the winning team score without going over the actual winning team’s score in the games of week 17.
(e) Closest to predicting the winning team score in the games of week 17.
(f) Number of actual game winners predicted correctly in the games of week 17.
(g) Number of "visiting team" game winners predicted correctly in the games of week 17.
(h) If there is still a tie, steps (e) through (h) will be repeated for each of the previous weeks of the contest (week 16, week 15, week 14, etc.)
