When you build stuff, you've got to move dirt. You've got to dig it, grade it, drill it and load it. For big projects it makes sense to work with an excavation contractor. But for all that small stuff so many of us end up doing with shovels and muscle-power — decks, fences, patios, small-scale demo — using a Bobcat Mini-Track Loader MT52 or MT55 makes worlds of sense. They're small enough to get in tight places like through fence gates and work in tight quarters like back yards.
They're also versatile: You can use the bucket to grade soil or excavate for a retaining wall. Or use an auger to drill out post holes for addition footings or deck and fence posts. Swap out again for forks and use the Mini-Track Loader to carry or stage framing for a deck package or retaining wall or to move demo stock from a deck tear-down.
The Bobcat MT52 and MT55 look like a light, mobile and affordable go-anywhere machine that has more uses than I can list here. That's good news when it comes to earth work.
