    Big Foot Keel Holder

If you're a framer — especially if you're the layout guy — you probably have your own "layout language" that you and the crew know. Some people mark an X for stud locations, for example, while the speed-freaks make single slash marks because making two lines is too slow. You must also mark posts, bolt locations, tie-downs, channels and whatever else comes with your frame package. And you probably have at least a pencil and crayon in your pouch to do it all, which means you have each marker separate.

That's a no-no if you're an apostle of the Bob Hutchings School of Lightning Layout. See, Bob is director of research and development at Big Foot Tools, having earned that title by being a lightning-layout guy himself. True to form, he has researched and developed The Big Foot Tools keel holder. Not just a crayon/pencil combo, but a dual crayon and pencil holder that you can flip around in your hand for marking out your plates. Bob knows the thing that fast framers feel in their blood: Reaching into your pouch isn't laying out; it's reaching into your pouch.

Slap one of these keel-holders in your hand and be the best-keeled guy on deck.
