Toilets don't usually wow me. They're great, and I'm glad for indoor plumbing, but I must admit that a toilet is pretty much a commodity item for me. I have spent some time thinking about the new Stanton toilet from Sterling, however, because unlike any toilet I've ever seen it, has operating options. And from the design side, it creates options especially for small spaces.
The Stanton has a two-way flushing option, according to Sterling: You can either flush with 0.8 gallons to remove "light waste" or 1.6 gallons to remove "bulk waste." From the design side of the equation, the Stanton has a concealed trapway, making it smooth and easier to clean.
But what creates even more options is that the toilet has an elongated bowl something many women come to opt for after living with a male mate or young son for a time but you can fit in the same small footprint as a round-front toilet. Another score for Sterling, and something to keep in mind for your next bathroom remodel.
