Stamped and Stained Concrete Designs

Concrete Dye
Concrete dyes are similar to faux finishing techniques. With them, liquid surface colorants are applied in creative ways with sprayers, mops, sponges, rags, plastic sheets and other materials. The material is similar to a semi-transparent paint. As it is applied, the concrete is simultaneously stained and sealed. It's fairly inexpenisve and its ease of application can reduce labor costs. It also is able to hide imperfections to some degree. A clear coat must be used on acrylic dyes in order to protect the color. Also, the depth of color from acid staining is more difficult to achieve with dyes.
